Being in Y3

We have had a great visit today. The children were very excited to find out which class they are in and enjoyed being in their new classrooms.

Celebration assembly

There were golden stickers this week for Carra,Clark, Louie and Ollie. The winners of the Summer Fair poster competition were Shanae and Annabelle and Oliver and Harry. Jack P and Paris were presented with their certificates from the gifted and talented PE day they attended at Devizes School. Well done everyone 

Multiplication activities

Today we have been thinking about what we know about multiplication and playing games to practise our counting in twos, threes, fives and tens. 

Ask the children what they did. Hopefully they know some multiplication facts to tell you!

Singing a cloud song

This week we have been writing and performing some floating songs for Mr Grinling to sing while he is relaxing on the beach. Ask the children to tell you some of them. 

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside ...

The children really enjoyed our beach day. There was sand and fishing! The children did some shopping for ice creams and we collected data about our favourite ice cream flavours. Ask the children which was the most popular. Look out too for the lovely ice creams we designed using the pointillism dotty technique. Just like all good days out at the beach we finished with a lolly.

This week there were golden stickers for Josh, Rubyann, Lauren and Reece. Clark, Jack P and Josh had book marks for great reading at home. We were also very excited to win the lunchtime cup!

A Final Push !

With only one week to go we need every member of our team to pull out all the stops. If every member only taps two boxes in a day we still earn over 3,000 points that day! If we go for one more box we can double that ! Don’t forget to tap the boxes when you have dropped the children at school on your way home too.

Healthy eating

We have been reading 'The lighthouse keepers picnic' and decided to help Mr Grinling with his healthy food choices by designing a meal for him. We have also used the Fizz Books to sort healthy plates and lunch boxes. Ask the children what we have found out. 

Joint sports morning

We had a great time at this event at Southbroon St James. We enjoyed trying out different activities and races in teams with children from year 3 and 4 and the green team emerged the winners. Thank you to Miss Merritt for organising this and to all the adults who supported the event.

There were golden stickers this week for Alfie, Rosie and Reece. There were bookmarks for great reading at home for Heidi, Annabelle, Jamie, Freddie and Louie. Lauren was a 'Beat the street' lucky tap winner this week and her prize was a book token.

Seaside day

We have had a fun-filled day and luckily the sun was shining on us! We couldn't go to the seaside so we brought the seaside to Southbroom. Who can you spot in the photos? !
