Celebration assembly

There were golden stickers this week for Clark, Carra, Louie and Ashton.
The focus for our assembly was saying goodbye to Mrs House. She was presented with a lovely cake stand and lots  of cards had a cake theme! We then serenaded her with a Kenyan farewell song in Swahili. We wish her good luck in the future.

Please Support The Pink Lady Runners!!

Support the Pink Lady Runners to collect sponsor money in aid of The Sidmouth Club in Devizes. This club is run by Alzheimer's Support where those suffering from dememtia , and their families, can spend quality time together. The club provides a warm, stimulating and very friendly environment.  It is run by specialist staff who focus on the person rather than on their dementia.

This charity is very special to Mrs Wiltshire and her sister, because their mum, who has dementia, visits the club weekly.  The club provides her with a lot of joy, where she has rediscovered her love of music and dancing.

Mrs Wiltshire and her sister, and Mrs Martin, are hoping to collect some money to support the valuable work of The Sidmouth Club.  They will be running the Bath Half Marathon on Sunday 1st March.

Please donate what you can.  There is a collecting tin in the main school office, and I'm sure that you will see Mrs Martin and Mrs Wiltshire in the playground after school! You wont miss us in our pink running gear!!!

Frozen

Just a reminder that we are hosting a Frozen sing -a -long tomorrow after school. The children need to return the permission slip along with £2.50. Children need to come in to school in the morning in their uniform- if they wish to dress up for the Frozen event they can change into their outfits towards the end of the afternoon.
Thank you

Gromits

Owls class resembled Ardman Animations workshop this afternoon as the children made their Gromit models from clay . There are some fantastic creations although where they are grouped together on our windowsill it does look a little bit like mini Stonehenge !

Ramp investigation

What would you like to find out about using this ramp?
The children were full of ideas and I was very impressed with the suggestions and predictions they made. Well done to  Reece for being the first person to ask how we could make our investigation a fair test!
We decided to find out what would happen to the car if the ramp was at different heights. Ask the children about our results as we had a bit if a surprise!
