Car mechanics

It was like being on a car workshop this afternoon . The children were put into 3 groups and , with adult supervision they drilled and screwed the go-karts together. They look fab! A huge thank you to Mr Morris for making the kits for everyone . Next stop, race day ( Tuesday 3rd Feb 1.30)...... on your marks.....!

On your marks...

We are full of plans for the go kart races. Today the children had a go at using the stop watch on the iPad and recording times. It was great fun!

The date of this event has now changed to Tuesday 3rd February at 1.30. Look out for further information next week. We will be busy making our go karts and as it is a four day week time will be short so we will not be giving out spellings or changing numeracy games. Reading will continue as usual. Thank you. 

Celebration assembly

Golden stickers this week for Serenity, Annabelle, Charlie, Clark, Henry, Katie, Olivia and Ashton. There was great reading at home from Shanae, Lauren, Annabelle and Rosie. Congratulations to Serenity who had a certificate for always trying her best. Well done to all.

In recent weeks we have had a really big focus on marking and feedback . Ask the  children about our tickled pink and growing green . The children have reflected on their learning and can see how to be even better !

Practice makes perfect

We have been getting very excited for race day in Owls this week!

Our DT lessons have been packed with fun activities to prepare for making our go-karts. In DT yesterday, we worked in groups to make some prototypes and experiment with what works best- here are some photos of us working together and some of our final creations.
