Swimming certificates
Today everyone received their swimming certificates. The children have made great progress and should be proud of their efforts. Thank you to Mrs Gazzard and her team of helpers. Without them we wouldn't be able to go.
Happy Christmas!
It has been a busy time in Owls but great fun. Thank you for all your support with our festive activities and for the lovely cards and gifts. We know you will be having a busy time over the holidays but please keep reading and counting.
See you in 2015.
Party time!
A great time was had by all. There was singing, dancing, eating and a visit from the man in red although Mrs Fishlock is hoping that the video clip of her leading the conga won't see the light of day!
Prize winners!
The prize for the best Christmas book went to Lauren. It was beautiful. Also prizes for Annabelle and Jamie who have had the most correct spellings this term. Well done!
Celebration assembly
On the last day of term there was a lot to celebrate! Golden stickers for Ollie, Lauren, Kai, Jessica, Harry, Clark, Reece, Annabelle and Ashton. Also bookmarks for Lauren and Heidi for great reading at home. We have also had the first person complete all five reading races and collect a book. A huge well done to Jack.

Art in the style of Kate Cosgrove
Yesterday Miss Handley led an art lesson where the children looked at a nativity scene painted by the artist Kate Cosgrove. They then drew houses and characters to recreate the scene. It looks amazing and makes the classroom seem very festive.
A visit from the Mayor
You may remember we asked the children to design a Christmas card for the Mayor's competition . We are delighted to inform you that the Mayor chose Heidi's design . Today we had a visit from the Mayor - she presented Heidi with a framed copy of her card plus a couple of little presents. Congratulation Heidi.
Christmas feast
Yet again the elves in the school kitchen did us proud. We all enjoyed a delicious lunch........ Many of us went home still wearing it on our faces!

Rock around the flock!
This afternoon we visited Southbroom St James to watch the play 'Rock around the flock' performed by children from year three and four. It was a great show and we loved the songs especially when we had the chance to join in!
Thank you to them for inviting us.

Forest School Playtimes
I am experimenting with doing Forest School activities on Wednesday and Thursday morning playtimes with children from Yr 2. We will be doing activities such as firelighting, safe use of knives, splitting wood, sawing etc. So far so good.
I would be interested in any feedback. Just pop into Otters.
